 I've so much to learn in animation but I'm lucky enough to have a very nice and talented teacher. I'm saying that because I've just discovered that learning animation and a become good animator is also a matter of mentoring. It's very rare to have teachers that are patient, responsive and respectful with students, and my animation teacher is just that and more. He's just the best teacher and mentor in the whole school according to me.

J'ai beaucoup à apprendre en animation mais j'ai la chance d'avoir un super prof. Ce que je suis en train de comprendre c'est que pour apprendre l'animation et devenir un bon animateur il faut être avec la bonne personne, la personne qui t'accorde son temps et qui t'explique bien les choses et surtout qui respecte ton travail mais ça c'est rare. C'est pour ça que je pense que notre prof d'anim  est juste le meilleur prof et le meilleur mentor de toute l'école. Eh oui, Stéphane is zé best!!!

FIRST ANIMATION ASSIGNMENTS

This blog is called learning animation but I don't show that much about animation so hereis a sample of the first animation assignments we'd got at school. I'm learning a lot with Stephane Sainte-foi our amazing animation teacher.

For this assignment we were asked to choose 3 paragraphs from the text Crescendo of Dino Buzatti, and express the mood of each paragraph with colors but keeping the same composition, it's a kind of color script stuff. Acrylic on paper.

Voilà animation de stickman que j'ai faite en suivant des tutoriels vidéos. J'ai d'animer en même temps que l'instructeur tout en écoutant ses conseils, c'est la théorie du MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO !!!
Une grande partie vient des cours de Jason Ryan.

These are Stickman animation done while watching some video tutorials. I've tried out the theory of MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO !!! Most of them are from  Jason Ryan's teaching, a really nice animation instructor by the way.

TONAL COMPOSITION STUDY

Some tonal composition studies from masters' pieces. I'm doing one everyday and it's helping a lot for learning composition the way the masters do and look at pictures and life another way. I've got some very cool tips and support from Chris Legaspi, you can see his cool tutorials here. :)
